The Greek word for "receive" is Lambanō, which means "to claim." So, when we ask God for something, we should immediately claim it as ours in the spiritual realm. God doesn't give us things without reason. Everything He provides has a divine purpose. When we dwell together in harmony - both with other believers and within ourselves (spirit, soul, and body aligned with God's Word) - we position ourselves to receive God's "commanded blessing."

This principle is so powerful that when the people were building the Tower of Babel in unity, God said nothing would be impossible for them. He had to confuse their language to halt their progress. In Deuteronomy 28, God outlines the blessings that come from obedience to His commands.
